For the majority of pups, an 8-week grooming schedule is ideal for keeping them comfortable, clean, and looking their best. However, there are signs to watch for that may mean your pet is ready for a visit sooner:
- Noticeable odor or a coat that feels greasy
- Hair covering the eyes, face, or affecting visibility
- Overgrown nails or nails clicking on the floor
- Dewclaws beginning to curl toward the paw

- Excess shedding or a heavy coat that needs a thorough de-shed
